Sarah Andelman likes her marshmallows like she likes her concept store, personalized and nontraditional.

When Sarah Andelman thinks of summer, she thinks of s’mores. Golden, crispy, and gooey inside, the colette co-founder and creative director likes her marshmallows burnt to a crisp. “Get marshmallows, get a stick, and get fire,” she tells Family Style, and most importantly, “Make it burn.” True to her signature style, when it comes to the campfire classic, she makes her own rules, ditching the traditional accoutrements of graham crackers and chocolate to prioritize just the pillowy filling. Much like her former Parisian concept store, Andelman proves the best ideas come when you follow your personal taste.
